ESCONDIDO, CA — The Escondido Union High School District is proud to announce that Mr. David Nemteanu, Principles of Design teacher at Del Lago Academy – Campus of Applied Science, has been selected as one of 28 educators nationwide to join the prestigious 2025-2026 cohort of the ARTEFFECT Ambassadors program.

Escondido, CA – Two talented 12th grade students from Del Lago Academy recently represented their school and Escondido Union High School District in the Live Art Competition, which is part of the Grand Avenue Fall Festival on October 19, 2025.

Escondido, CA – Orange Glen High School students were treated to a special visit on October 22, 2025, from award-winning modern country artist Steven Cade, whose Giving Guitars Tour made a memorable stop on campus. Cade performed three songs for two combined guitar classes, filling the school’s music room with energy, inspiration, and heartfelt songs.

Escondido, CA – The Escondido Union High School District is proud to announce that the City of Escondido held a ceremonial unveiling of a new student mural on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Washington Park. This mural, designed by
Jessica Huynh, an 11th grade student at Del Lago academy, was submitted for review and approval by the City of Escondido and the Escondido Public Art Commission. Del Lago Academy teacher Soudabeh “Sudi” Memarzadeh supported Jessica throughout the submission process.
